Mary was the dau of Edward Prime and Mary Hannah (Potter) Winans. I (AWW) saw the tombstones of Job Murray and his wife Mary Huldah in the newer cemetery "Evergreen" in Elizabeth, N. J. I also saw the tombstones for Edward Prime, Mary Hannah, Job Irving and Mary Louise. The dates recorded here were taken from the tombstones.

HENRY MORGAN was b 13 Oct 1893 in Denver, Colo, d 14 Mar 1965 in Dallas, Texas md 19 Dec 1918 Judith Terrell Hawley b 5 Mar 1896 d in the spring of 1966. Dr. Henry Morgan Winans received his B. A. from Stanford University in

1916 and his M. D. from John Hopkins in 1919. He was Professor of Medicine at Baylor Medical School when it was in Dallas, Texas from 1929 to 1942. Dr. Winans was the organizer and head of the Medical Service of the Baylor Evac. Unit, 56th Evac. and served in North Africa and the Italian Campaign, also the Anzio Beachhead until 1944 when he was made Chief of the Medical Service at Brooke General Hospital, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas until 15 Dec 1945. He was a Colonel.

1 Clarence Frederic Winans (1899-1986) is mentioned several times by Mrs. Egy as a source of her information. He is the father of my eighth cousin, Don Winans, who married my wife Jeanette's first cousin Bev. Mrs. Egy errs by about twenty years in her estimate of Don and Bev's children's ages. Sharon has inherited Clarence's interest in family history. She researches not only her father's Winans family, but also her mother's Waterman family.
