I just found your web page while looking for information on Sarah Brewster, daughter of James Brewster, who married Rev. Benjamin Erwin/Irvin in Rockingham Co. VA in 1782.

I am researching the Erwin family of Augusta Co. VA and according to family tradition, Sarah was a sister of Jennet who married Samuel Erwin. It is said he was a brother to Rev. Ben Erwin.

Do you have any information on the sister Sarah? Was there a sister Sarah?

I have the information from Margaret Morris' book. I am trying to verify Benjamin and Samuel Erwin's lineage. I have found a couple of big errors in Morris' book so I am reluctant to rely on it as a major source of information. According to her, Benjamin and Samuel were brothers. So far I cannot find any documentation to back up this claim. Also it was mentioned that Benjamin married his cousin...again I cannot find that connection.
