Revolt in Chihuahua

BY NORMAN WALKER.

Juarez, April 27 -- Carranza troops stationed at Sauz, Gallegos, Moctezuma and other stations between Juarez and Chihuahua City have revolted and joined the Obregon revolution, it was announced here late today.

These 500 troops of the 62d Infantry regiment, were in command of Col. Francisco Del Arco, who was responsible for the mutiny, according to a military message received here before the revolting troops cut the telegraph wires between Chihuahua City and the border.

A troop train was being made up here tonight to go south. Utmost secrecy is being maintained here and nothing will be given out at military headquarters, although it is admitted that the situation is serious in Juarez.

The revolt of the troops at the small stations between Juarez and Chihuahua City started a report here tonight that Chihuahua City had been seized by revolting federal troops, but this could not be confirmed, as the telegraph and telephone wires were cut.
